                                                                               Hello everyone,

It was a beautiful sunny day here today
with a warmer temperature so I was
able to plant the last of my tulip bulbs
in the garden. I was happy to get them in
as we had such wintry weather I thought
I might have missed my window of
                                                          opportunity! I also,filled a few planters
with greenery and rosehips while enjoying
                                                          the sunshine.
After, it was tea time in the library with
                                                           the sun streaming in..

                                                                      A Christmasy tea.....I am enjoying
Holiday Chai tea lately by Stash.
I bought mine at the Bulk Barn.

I am continuing to slowly
decorate our home and
enjoying the process plus
the cosy look with all the
lights etc.

I hope you had some time to
relax with a good cup of tea
                                                                   today.
                                                                          Thanks for visiting and
thank you to all who left nice
                                                                    comments on previous posts.

Christmas Transferware Vignette

By // No comments:

Hello everyone,

I am still making my way around
our home adding little Christmas
Touches here and there.

In our library I changed out the desk for this
cabinet and the desk is in the hall where
this cabinet was......makes sense right?
Remember my mother always said
a change is as good as a rest!
Anyway, I love my red transferware
displayed on top of it with a few
Christmas touches.

Mason Vista red and white transferware
is a favorite of mine.

I hope all my American friends had a lovely
Thanksgiving Day! I am sure it will be full
steam ahead until Christmas from now on.

                                                                           Have a wonderful weekend!

                                                                                                 Carolyn

A Wintry Day Tea

By // No comments:

Hello everyone,

With the snowy weather we have had here
lately it is easy to turn my thoughts toward
Christmas/winter.
So my tea time today is in our little
sun room where I can enjoy
the snowy scene outdoors.

I am enjoying Holiday Chai tea
today with my oatmeal scone an
a healthy apple.
The cute mitten cookies are
way to pretty to eat though.

Are you getting into the holiday
                                                               mood yet?

A wintry shot of the garden outside the
              sun room window.
I am not sure if this snow is going to stay
as it is early for us and we still had some outdoor
chores to do but they will have to wait until
               spring if it does.

Thank you stopping by and enjoying
                                                                a wintry tea with me.

A Cozy Fireside Tea

By // No comments:

Hello everyone,

It seems like winter has arrived early
this year as the temperature has dropped
and we had a surprise snowfall accumulation
that has stayed and more on the way tomorrow.

So, I am enjoying a cozy tea by
the fireside.

I confess I have already started to
decorate for Christmas in our family
room as I love the coziness of the
Christmas lights on these chilly long
evenings.

                                                                     My red and white transferware
is a favorite all year but especially
                                                                     at Christmas.
I am slowly picking away at
getting the rest of the Christmas
decor done but I am happy to snuggle
in here for now and enjoy my tea by
                                                                      the fireside.

Hope you have a cozy evening!

                                                                                                   Carolyn

Merry Christmas from our House to Yours !

By // No comments:

      Merry Christmas!

Once again December has passed by
quickly and now it is Christmas Eve.

Since we have a big family it
is always good to have as much
       preparation for Christmas dinner
         done before Christmas day arrives.
So, one of things I like to have done
is to have our tables moved and chairs
brought up from the basement for all
so we have seating for all of us!

Our dining area tree.

I used my red and white transferware
again this year....it is my biggest collection.
                                                                    We use two rooms.

I keep it simple as no one
wants to spend hours on
cleanup.

There is some stormy weather
headed our way so hopefully
it holds off until late in the
day so travel is good.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas
and many blessings in the New Year!
Thank you to all who visited me this year
and thanks to all who leave nice comments
                                                        all year.

                                                                            Love,
                                                                                 Carolyn

Red & White Christmas Tablescape

By // No comments:

            Hello everyone,

I am back again and this time it is
        Christmas in the kitchen/dining room,
along with my red & white transferware.

A red and white transferware tablescape
                                                                        is set  for dinner.
I have a lot of my red and white
transferware on display all year
in the dining area of our kitchen.

Yard sale and thrifty cupboards
display my transferware.

The Christmas tree in the bay
                                                                             window again this year.

My transferware is a mix of
old and new as well as patterns.

We had the two cupboards built in
about 12 years ago and they are
perfect for storing and displaying
my red and white transferware.

I confess I love all transferware so
I have smaller collections of other
colors as well but that is another day!

                                                                  Do you collect transferware too?

                                                                           Thank you for visiting!

A Woodland Christmas

By // No comments:

      Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend.
         Our Christmas house tour went
well and I think everyone enjoyed
visiting all the homes on the tour.

I am happy to have the decorating
done and  to be able to curl up
and enjoy it.

In our bedroom I went with
a bit of a woodland Christmas
theme.
I love these reindeer.

It is a cozy place to enjoy
a cup of tea or a book.

The stockings are hung

With Christmas approaching fast I will
try to share  a little of Christmas throughout
our home before it is here and gone!

                                                                                  Thank you for stopping by!

                                                                                                    Carolyn
